PTSD - Symptoms

Post-traumatic stress disorder can occur after an event involving actual or imminent death or serious injury, e.g. accidents, family tragedies or military operations. But also at events that aroused feelings of fear and helplessness in those affected. You can have been there yourself or have observed the event.

Symptoms of PTSD include not only the intensive re-experience of the event through sudden memories, images or (nightmare) dreams, but also increased excitability, sleep disorders, concentration problems, anxiety or irritability.
