EEG recording

EEG recording with qualitative evaluation

Electroencephalogram recorded and evaluated according to medical standards

A measurement of the brain waves (EEG) followed by a medical evaluation and report. An EEG recording is one of the classic neurological examination methods and can be useful for various medical indications. This applies to a one-time diagnosis, for example if epilepsy, persistent headaches, migraine or long-lasting sleep disorders are suspected. It is also used to monitor progress, for example before and regularly while a medication is being adjusted, such as for ADD/ADHD, migraine or epilepsy. The recording is made with an electrode cap that is placed on the head and is completely painless. A small amount of conductive gel (comparable to the gel used for an ultrasound examination) is applied, which can easily be combed out or removed by washing the hair. Hair and scalp remain unharmed. The entire examination takes 15–30 minutes.

Further indications and areas of application

Concussion and traumatic brain injury, dizziness, loss of consciousness, fainting, flickering vision and other occasional visual disturbances, depression with suspected organic brain components, seizures, absences, muscle twitching or loss of strength / numbness in individual arms and legs, loss of individual brain functions, e.g. speech failure, hearing disorders, memory loss.
